SEPTEMBER 2006: Jeanne Kinnamon (center) presents an American Red Cross 23-gallon pin to Steve Snyder (right) for setting a new record in blood donations in our community, and also presents Steve with the 2006 American Red Cross Hall of Fame Award for Blood Services. Oliver Kendrick (left) also received a 17-gallon pin in recognition of his milestone. The Colonial Virginia Chapter created the first Red Cross Hall of Fame Award in 2004 to honor Jeanne's 22-gallon blood donation. To furthur encourage record levels of giving, she challenged the community to exceed her donations, and was honored to pass the crown over to Steve. Through Steve and Oliver's dedication, patients in need will be assured of receiving this precious "Gift of Life."
