Let
The Red Cross Bring
Out The Best In You!!
Every day, your Colonial Virginia Chapter
is there for you, serving the City of Williamsburg, the
counties of James City, Charles City, Surry, King William,
King & Queen, and the Town of West Point. It might be
responding to a house fire, providing lifesaving CPR or
providing blood for a new baby who needs a complete change
of blood supply.
Our Chapter is able to provide valuable
services to the community only because of our volunteers. We
are happy to say that we have the greatest volunteers
around, and we would love having you as a member of our Red
Cross Family.
Here’s some of the vital work the
Colonial Virginia Chapter provides through the help of our
volunteers:

water safety; life guarding; small craft safety;
safety training for swim coaches; babysitting;

Provides 24-hour emergency communication link
between immediate family members and service
personnel stationed worldwide. Provides
verifications
of emergencies at home requiring a service member's
presence; delivering birth messages to deployed

Blood Services Program:
Recruits blood donors, donor groups, and new
sponsors for blood drives. Our ability to provide
the blood types or groups needed by patients is
dependent upon donors of all blood groups having
convenient locations to give on a regular basis. Our
Chapter is recognized as the “Premier Chapter”
by the Mid-Atlantic Region Blood Services. During FY
2001/2002, we held 80 blood drives and collected
3,306 pints of blood.
